英语语法: while
1. while和时间状语从句
while表示“当……的时候”，和when及as的最大区别在于，从句中总是用延续性动词或进行时态。
while可以引出一个省略了主语和系动词的分词词组。
例如:
We can talk while （we are）eating.
Water is getting hotter while (it is) heated.

2. while和让步状语从句
while也可能引出让步状语从句，表示“虽然”，置于句首。例如:
While some of the heat can be converted into mechanical work, it is never possible to recover all of it.

3. while和并列句
while并列两个分句，相当于but，表示对比和转折。（注意比较上边的2----在句首则为让步状语从句，表示“虽然”。在中间则可以是并列关系，表示“然而”）

4. while和名词
while可做名词，表示一段时间，等于a short time。出现在以下词组中:
after a while过了一会儿；
for a while持续了一会儿;
once in a while时不时地。

4. 后接（in）doing的几个形容词、副词：
busy；engaged；interested；（do）well。

一句话记忆：
只要一件事“有意义”，无论“成与败”“利与弊”“有无困难”，都要“花时间”，“坚持”带着“乐趣”和“兴趣”“忙于其中”，“做好”它，而不要“浪费”时间。
